Tests

test measuring abrasion of the paving

Abrasion measurement

Abrasion resistance is the ability of a paving surface to resist wear caused by all kinds of mechanical abrasions such as trolley wheels, foot traffic, friction and impacts. The abrasion resistance tester allows you to simulate controlled mechanical aggression and thus estimate the resulting degradation of the surface.

paving adhesion measurement test

Adhesion measurement

Determine the adhesion of a coating (paint film, thin or thick coating), a waterproofing screed, a bonded composite reinforcement, a cementitious material (shotcrete, surface repair product), etc. on a hard (metal or concrete) or soft (wood or plaster) support.

Determine the surface cohesion of concrete

floor humidity measurement test

Humidity measurement

A recognized testing method for measuring residual moisture in screeds and assessing their suitability for coating. This is a measurement by chemical reaction between calcium carbide and the water contained in a sample taken.

The carbide bomb allows rapid and reliable determination of the dryness of construction materials.

test measuring slipperiness of paving surface

Slip measurement

Unlike grip, slipperiness is the measure of slipperiness depending on whether or not it has a low coefficient of friction.

A high-precision device can measure the static and dynamic coefficient of a concrete floor and any other covering likely to cause slipperiness or grip problems.

test measuring the gloss of the paving surface

Gloss measurement

Gloss measurement is a determining parameter for defining and quantifying the general appearance of a surface.
To measure gloss, a light beam of constant intensity is directed at a specific angle onto the surface to be tested, and then the amount of light reflected at the same angle is measured. This specular reflection is measured using a gloss meter.

test measurement element

Resistivity measurement

Electrical resistivity is an important quantity for characterizing the dissipation of charges from the surface considered.
This surface resistance is obtained by measuring the voltage/current ratio (U/I) obtained from two electrodes placed on the surface in question. The higher this ratio, the more difficult it will be for charges to migrate to a point on the ground,

test measuring surface roughness of paving

Roughness measurement

Roughness refers to the micro-geometric defects of the surface. They are evaluated after filtering the actual surface using a high-pass filter retaining only the shortest lateral wavelengths. The roughness tester is used to quickly determine the surface roughness by showing the depth of the average roughness Rz and the value of the average roughness Ra in µm.

reinforcement detection test in the paving

Structure radar

Allows the location of reinforcements in plan and in depth by emitting electromagnetic pulses which are partially reflected on interfaces or heterogeneities presenting electromagnetic contrasts with the concrete. The analysis makes it possible to determine the cover of the reinforcements and gives an estimate of the diameter of the reinforcements.

coring paving and concrete slab

Coring and concrete strength

Coring is a destructive test that allows the control of several parameters characteristic of concrete or different components of the slab: presence of welded mesh, wire diameter, presence of fibers, type of fibers, homogeneity of the fibers, the presence of occluded air, diameter of air bubbles, diameter of aggregates, thickness and type of the wear layer.

In addition, our laboratory is equipped with a certified press that allows us to experimentally determine the tensile or compressive strength of the sampled concrete. The values obtained allow our engineers to evaluate the homogeneity of the concrete and thus prepare a calculation note to estimate the load-bearing capacity of the slab.
